    • Dennis T. Wyckoff, 70-year-old Mooreland resident and retired Santa Fe railroad worker, died early Monday, Aug. 23, 1976, at Northwest Community Hospital, Mooreland. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today), Aug. 26,, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Mooreland.

      Floyd Thompson, pastor of the local Christian Church, will officiate and he will be assisted by Rev. Lynn Lamb, pastor of the Mooreland First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Mooreland Cemetery under direction of Billings-Knittel Funeral Home.

      Dennis Theobolt Wyckoff was born December 4, 1905, in Mooreland, the son of Jesse and Mary Wyckoff. He attended Mooreland area schools, worked for the State Highway Department and also spent time engaged in farming. On July 5, 1931, he married Rosa Hibbs in Mooreland.

      In 1939 he began working for the A. T. and S. F. as part of a section crew working from Curtis to Canadian, Tex. His wife preceded him in death May 23, 1969 and he retired from the railroad in 1970.

      On July 4, 1971, he married Hattie Ruttman in Mooreland and they have made their home in Mooreland since that time.

      Survivors include his wife, Hattie, of the home; five sons, LeRoy Wyckoff of Enid, Jack Ruttman and Wayne Ruttman of Woodward Robert Ruttman of Norman and Jay Ruttman of Mooreland; four daughters, Mrs. Claude (Pat) Williamson of Mooreland, Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Blumer of Shallowater, Tex., Mrs. Junior (Venita) Slay and Mrs. Scott (Susie) Kline of Woodward; six sisters, Mrs. Georgia Bailey of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Hazel Nelson of Chelan, Wa., Mrs. Pauline Higgenbothem of Ulysses, Kans., Mrs. Howard (Pleasintinia) (“Babe”) Wiley of Yakima, Wa., Mrs. Maxine Castell of Mooreland and Mrs. Irene Alford of Ft. Collins, Cole.; four brothers, Jack of Spokane, Wa., John of Woodward, Simon or Mooreland and Byron of Trout Creek, Mont., 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooreland First Christian Church.
